Put yourself first

Most people come to yoga class to get better physical movement and you will get that. The stretching and strengtheners can really reduce aches and pains. I add in flowing Calligraphy Yoga movement from Tai Chi to warm up the joints and circulatory system. The warm-up is long, around 15min and doesn't vary much. It is designed to prepare the body for activity and bring movement and breath together to relax the mind.

The yoga I teach can be practiced by anyone as long as you are willing to put yourself first. I will want to push you but stop if you need to, use props if you need to, follow advice and don't just push through with this style, put your needs first. This way we can gently expand on your strength and flexibility without putting stress on muscles and joints or aggravating past injuries.
